Connecting USB Hardware to Note Taking Application

Habitat Learn has developed a proprietary captioning application that blends AI and human captioning. The scope of this project will involve implementing back end programming to detect connected USB hardware devices. The target USB devices are foot pedals that note takers use to start and stop playback of recorded audio. UI for device selection is also part of this project.

Developing a product launch for 3 US states

Habitat Learn has a multiple products and services that it offers to college and universities. It's legacy service called note taking express has 300+ schools that use its app and service. Habitat Learn wants to leverage that client list to promote its new products and services Ex. captioning and smart lecture camera. We want a team of students to help us design and plan a product launch. We want to start with the states that use our service the most California, Texas, and New York. One idea we have and want to further develop is hosting events in person and schools that already use our services and invite other schools to meet us to learn more about what we offer. Conduct interviews and market research on interpretation services

Interpretation services are essential to making our cities accessible for people with communication/language barriers. However, these services certainly are not without their fair share of challenges and issues which could benefit from ongoing design and re-imagination. Help create better services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community by journey-mapping existing interpretation booking services, and connecting with users of such services to gather their stories. Your goals will include uncovering pain points and brainstorming potential solutions alongside our team of designers, developers, and business leaders who are passionate about accessibility!

Animated Video Creation

Habitat Learn is looking to develop a series of animated videos about our products and services for internal use. We are looking for someone to assist us in the script development, storyboard, scene creation, and creation of the videos. We envision this project to include but not be limited to: The creation of a series of engaging 1-3 minute animation about our services and product functionality that is consistent with our brand guidelines and communication strategy. The videos will be for internal use to explain why our products were created, what they are and how they help our clients.
